Google bundles Nik photo editing tools for 70% less

After acquiring Nik Software — and canceling the desktop version of the well-admired Snapseed software — Google is now bundling the complete set of previously-high-priced plug-ins as the Nik Collection.

The suite includes HDR Efex Pro 2, Color Efex Pro 4, Silver Efex Pro 2, Viveza 2, Sharpener Pro 3, and Dfine 2. The new package is more affordable, Google says: “The entire set of plug-ins for Photoshop, Lightroom and Aperture only costs $149 (versus the previous $499).”

What about previous customers? “Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered,” Google says. “In fact: we’re going to upgrade you to the entire Nik Collection by Google for free.”

This is what happened for me, I owned (and use extensively) their SilverFXPro product, now I have the entire suite for free!
